Session Description:

Myanmar is blessed with an abundance of natural resources and a youthful workforce, but with many of it’s people living in extreme poverty. Considered the fastest growing region in the world, economic development through energy can positively influence and impact communities physically, mentally, and spiritually – enriching the quality of human life.

With the demand for energy increasing how do we ensure inclusive engagement amongst stakeholders including but not limited to the communities that rely on access to energy the most. This session primarily questions the vision of success of energy emphasising the need to take a bottom up approach to renewable energy development in Myanmar.

Format: The moderator will initiate the introduction and provide an overview of renewable energy in Myanmar through a storytelling approach engaging each panellist through a Q&A format.
